Three in a row! We are peaking at a great time! Now we just have to keep working hard and continue to focus on the same goal in mind - the LSC Tournament! Getting this win helped us come one step closer to that goal.
Tonight everyone played really well! We had the bench step in and contribute a lot! It was a nice win at home. On Saturday (Valentines day) we travel to West Texas A&M, it's a hard place to play at.
Tonight I heard some news about Emily Brister suffering a knee injury tonight - if that is the case, I hope it's not season-injuring! I would hate that for her. From one senior to another senior, I hope she's ok.
Thanks for everyone who came tonight! There are just 2 more home games for me :( I'm going to miss the atmosphere! But hope to see some of you at West Texas!
*A little shout out to my parents- Happy Anniversary (Feb. 12th). It is their 27th wedding anniversary! Really something to celebrate! Love you guys!*
Till then Go TexAnns!

Big win... for now.
Just when you thought they were down...
The TexAnns picked up a huge win on Wednesday, defeating Midwestern State 62-57 in Wichita Falls.
The game opened up - well, let's just say not to script as the TexAnns would have wanted it to be. MSU took a 12-point, 17-5 lead in the first five minutes of the game. But the TexAnns didn't waiver and slowly pushed their way back into the game.
A 12-2 run from the TexAnns over the next six minutes pulled the TexAnns to within two points.
After heading into the locker room down 36-31, the TexAnns quickly saw deja vu from the first-half. The Mustangs opened the half scoring five points on their first to baskets to take a 10-point lead. But again, this team did not go away or play dead or wave the white flag. They stuck it out and came out on top.
Sonya Sundberg scored a season-high 19 points and Kelsey Benford grabbed 14 rebounds coming off the bench.
The win snapped a two-game losing streak in south division play as the TexAnns improved to 2-4 in the south.
But as D'Anna Dingler said in her post earlier... the team will not have long to think about and hold onto this win. The Mustangs will want nothing more than to return the favor on Saturday in Stephenville.
